Inspiration

“Dusk on the Rocks” was inspired by the view from Aliso Beach—one of my favorite places in Laguna Beach. It’s where we often bring friends and family on their last night visiting, and it always feels like a gentle farewell to the coast.

This painting isn’t just about that specific location, though—it’s about the feeling of quiet reflection at the end of a beautiful day. A moment to pause, to feel grateful for what was, and to begin looking forward to what’s next. There’s a softness in the air, seagulls floating above, and the sense that something peaceful is settling in.
