Inspiration

“Blissful Ballet” is a large, fresco-esque celebration of the hummingbirds’ dance — a world where movement becomes music and color becomes light. Layered with crochet doilies, gold leaf, and thick impasto paint, the piece creates a richly textured, sculptural surface that honors the magical space these tiny creatures seem to inhabit.

A black-chinned hummingbird, a white-eared hummingbird, and a ruby-throated hummingbird appear in graceful motion, each one carrying its own quiet message of joy and resilience. Their presence feels like a blessing, a reminder of how beauty rises even in the smallest of moments.
