"Between Earth and Sky" is an original oil painting on a 1.5" gallery-wrapped canvas with richly layered, three-dimensional texture.

Inspiration

When I painted “Between Earth and Sky,” I wanted to capture an intimate moment shared with hummingbirds against the vastness of the landscape. To me, hummingbirds sometimes feel like tiny messengers — dancing and hovering in the space between our world and the open sky.

This piece features a male Anna’s hummingbird and two blue-throated mountain gems in a fluid dance among rich textures and butterflies.

My hope is that this piece brings that same sense of joy and wonder into your home.
